Magnet Knife Block

Looking for a way to store your blades? Check out our Magnet Knife blocks! These knife blocks have medium strength magnets which will hold your blades up but not be so difficult to take off, making it perfect to switch between knives when cooking. 

We currently offer 2 different wood options; a rich, dark Walnut, and a bright Winnipeg Elm. Each option has been given a fine sanding and finished with food safe oil to keep the wood looking nice for many years. 

We offer compact, 12" blocks which work great for 4-5 blades, and longer 16" blades which fit 5-7 blades comfortably. Since we use magnet strips you have more flexibility in where the knives can fit, just keep in mind not to store blades so close together so as to chip or damage their edges. Note that in the photos we show the Winnipeg Elm in 16", and the walnut in 12".

When placing the knives on the block, avoid just putting them flat onto the block, as they can jump around and potentially damage the blade edge. Instead, place the spine of the knife onto the block so the edge is pointing out (perpendicular to the block), and then twist the blade so the flat contacts the board. This will keep the blade from damage and be much safer. To remove the blade do the reverse operation, twist the edge pointing out, and then remove from the block. 

Installation is simple with these blocks! Either adhere to the wall with 3M Command Strips, or use our handy drill guide(included) to insert wall anchors for ultra secure storage. Note, if you are using Command Strips its recommended to gently sand the backside of the magnet block and wipe down with Acetone or some other solvent to remove any oils which may compromise the bond of the adhesive.
