This meat Cleaver has been handmade in Winnipeg Manitoba, crafted from 440C High Carbon Stainless steel in order to create a durable and tough blade that will stand up to heavy abuse and chopping, while also warding off rust. Although it does make fine slice, this cleaver has a thick spine with robust edge geometry optimized for chopping through frozen meat, bones, joints, and just about anything else you can think of, filling the role of a heavy, tough beater knife that'll handle anything you throw at it.

Each knife features a satin finished bevel, with textured flats left from the manufacturing process. Comfort is key; the ergonomic handle fits comfortably and ensures it stays in your hand during use. Each knife comes with Pau Ferro handle and blue liners to match the other knives in our BBQ line, the Brisket Knife, BBQ Slicer, and Trimming Knife. 

This wood is quite durable and although they are not dishwasher safe, a light coat of mineral oil from time to time is enough to protect them from moisture and humidity changes. Each blade is designed and entirely hand crafted by blade smith Graeson Fehr in Winnipeg, Canada.
