Praetorian Hunting Knife

The Praetorian is a large recurve bowie style knife ideal for any hunter or outdoors enthusiast. The 1084 High Carbon Steel has been carefully crafted, and has been heat treated in a 6 stage process to achieve superior durability and sharpness.The Varangian has been specially designed for bushcraft and as a large hunting knife. 

This knife features a moderate recurve which puts the point of impact at an ergonomic position to allow for more efficient chopping and brush clearing. Furthermore, the recurve portion allows for control work such as feathersticking and detail work. 

This knife features a rosewood handle with red G10 liners and a brown leather sheath. The blade has been hand forged and the hammer marks have been preserved along the flats of the blade, while the bevels have been given a satin finish. The carbon steel will start to etch and stain with use to reflect long term use in a unique way. 

This blade is one of my personal favourites, as I've been using this design personally for about 5 years and I'm excited to be able to bring it back into limited production.

*since this is a high carbon steel knife it may be more prone to rust than a stainless steel knife. We recommend applying mineral oil to protect the blade from rust, as well as keeping it in a dry location and your knife should last a lifetime.
