Handle Material

These elegant steak knives are designed to with practicality and utility in mind. The knives are 1/8" thick at the spine and have a full distal taper down to the point to allow for maximum flexibility and sharpness. The 1084 High Carbon Steel has been carefully crafted, and has been heat treated in a 6 stage process to achieve superior durability and sharpness. Each knife is delivered razor sharp.

These knives come with a mustard patina, which appears on the blade as a Damascus looking pattern that not only looks cool, but also helps to clean any rust off that could develop by leaving it out with moisture. Simply use a little 0000 steel wool to scrub off the rust and it'll be converted into the black patina to help prevent rust in the future.

In order to create the most unique piece, we use exotic hardwoods that are renowned for their durability and resistance to moisture, however this knife should not be submerged in water or anything like that as the wood may potentially soak up moisture causing cracking. For cleaning we recommend a rinsing the blade with water and soap and completely drying the knife with a towel, followed by a coating of a food safe oil for storage. We recommend mineral oil as it is cheap, food safe, and will not impart any flavour into your food. With time, especially with acidic foods such as steak, the blade will develop a gold and then blue patina which will also help to protect against rust.
