Damascus Steel Legionnaire V2 Hunting Knife

The Legionnaire is a small hunting and skinning knife ideal for any hunter or outdoors enthusiast. This version is a special one-off piece in 300 layers of random Pattern Damascus. The high layer count give a sparkling and shining effect, and although mineral oil is required for storage, it also assists in rust protection, keeping the knife looking the same without the pattern wearing off. Each knife is delivered razor sharp, and will keep the edge a long time as it is made from high grade high carbon steels(15N20/1095). 

Due to the comfortable handle and blade design it works well for skinning and meat processing. This handle is made from Blue Stabilized Manitoba Maple Burl, which was cut down from a Maple Tree in Winnipeg MB, and stabilized in house to protect against moisture and promote long term durability. Maple Burl is one of my favourite woods, and the fact that such a naturally beautiful wood is available local to my shop makes it a perfect choice for this knife, which was meant to represent my favourite materials and my ideal knife.

This knife comes with a hand tooled and stitched leather sheath, with an integral belt loop.

*since this is a high carbon steel knife it may be more prone to rust than a stainless steel knife. We recommend applying mineral oil to protect the blade from rust, as well as keeping it in a dry location and your knife should last a lifetime.
