This hunting knife is handcrafted in Winnipeg, Canada with a breathtaking 250-layer composition of 1095 and 15N20 high carbon steel. Each blade is carefully hand-forged and painstakingly polished to reveal the stunning pattern forged into the blade, making it a one-of-a-kind piece for any collection, or tough as nails user blade!
In my quest for the ideal handle for this blade, my attention turned to sourcing an extraordinary material. Through a contact, I obtained a small piece of Woolly Mammoth tusk, discovered in northern Canada many years ago. I knew this rare and distinctive material would complement the blade and pattern perfectly. I inlaid that piece of mammoth into the main part of the handle, made from black Manitoba maple burl. For this piece, I aimed to keep consistent colour themes throughout. To achieve this, I chose polished Brass for the pins and liners, emulating the hints of gold colours in the maple burl.
This blade also includes a custom leather sheath, carefully crafted and designed for easy carrying and safe storage. Since this blade is made of carbon Damascus it is recommended to clean the blade shortly after each use, and apply mineral oil for storage to prevent rust.
