This is one of my all time favourite pieces. This blade is hand crafted in Winnipeg, Canada, with a unique CuMai blade. This material features a durable 1095 High carbon steel edge, and alternating layers of copper and Damascus steel cladding. This material is extremely difficult to make, but once finished is an extremely durable blade, with a one of a kind look.  While the blade has artistic features, each part of the knife is designed for use. The high carbon steel holds an excellent edge for skinning, and the Deer Antler handle will keep the blade securely in hand and resist moisture, making this an aesthetic and durable piece.

While the blade itself is dramatic, I wanted to source a unique material for the handle. I came across a Deer Antler shed, and decided that this classic handle would work well with the dramatic Damascus pattern, making it a great user knife, or collectors piece. Furthermore, I featured a slice ancient bog oak, several thousand years old, sourced from the Bronze Age Ukraine. During the Bronze Age an oak tree fell into a bog, and over the next several thousand years absorbed minerals from the bog and turned black. I featured a small slice of this wood in the handle as a piece of history. The copper blade guard helps keep the blade securely in hand and ensures that your hand doesn't slip onto the blade under wet or messy situations.

This blade also includes a custom leather sheath, carefully crafted and designed for easy carrying and safe storage.
