Introducing our Japanese style bread knife! This knife has medium sized serrations which help cutting through dense hard breads like sourdough, while also retaining a tooth profile that works well on softer breads without leaving a ton of crumbs. We hope you will like our bread knife design, and we have a few unique handles to offer!
A top pick is the Stabilized Manitoba Maple with blue epoxy, as it showcases unique parts of the tree and reduces waste with its burl growth. My handles often feature Manitoba Maple Burl, and stabilizing the ends and filling them with epoxy creates a one-of-a-kind handle.
Some of my other favourites include the laminated wood handles, such as the Pau Ferro with Purplehart and Maple, or the Bocote with Paduk and Maple. While challenging to make, being able to feature multiple types of both exotic and local wood gives a really unique look and feel to the handle.
The AEBL High Carbon Stainless steel is perfect for durability and those that want a high grade and low maintenance blade. Hardened to 62 HRC, it'll hold up well for durable use on any wood or plastic cutting board.
