My favourite wood to use is Makassar Ebony. It's such a hard dense wood and polishes so well. Compared to Gaboon Ebony it has some deep browns going through it which bring out a richer tone that I love. This wood has a dramatic grain, and the natural tones of the wood pair well with a variety of other materials. For this piece I wanted to contrast the dark ebony with white Moose Antler. This wood will hold up very well and is extremely comfortable in hand.
